It's that time of year people. White parts jumping off everywhere! Its like the universal time of year to have such a stand out event and whether indoors or out, the weather is great for it. Another beauty of this themed event is that it takes the guessing out of what color to wear. You just have to think about what cut will look great for you and your curves!
Well, love themed events so I had to take an acquaintance up on her offer to come down to an all white party in San Antonio, Texas. The venue was Breathe Lounge and a singer by the name of Monica Love was to perform for the evening with the beautiful Neka from Tha1 Media Hub hosting the event. I enjoy live music so this was right up my alley as far as entertainment was concerned. As I laughed and chatted with quite a few guests, I made my rounds snapping photos of cute outfits and taking comments from guests. Everyone to include myself seemed to he having a nice chill time until things got a lil interesting.....

When I arrived, while many had on the themed color of white, quite a few had on different colors. Several stated they didn't know an event was going on that night so there must have been an over booking or something. I don't know. Anyhow, I wore a Fit Flare White Blazer from SHE Boutique, white capri jeans and a crop tank that said honey in metallic. My accessories coordinated and I was feeling fantastic.

Several hours into the event the singer began singing gospel music and before long a man walked by us and started chanting what sounded like "tongue" (a spiritual language). But what was weird for me was he was dancing and had several alcoholic drinks in his hand. I was confused because I thought well honestly, I don't know. I looked around to see if others had heard what I heard to confirm I wasn't hearing things and they also mentioned they heard the same thing. I'm all for gospel but then things got a bit more interesting. Anyhow fast forward and the the singer began singing the well known baby shark song followed by a nursery rhyme! I'm not making this up.
As I thought about it, maybe that was some form of marketing strategy to advertise her skills in different genres among the guests. All in all it made for an interesting evening and event. Here are a couple of photos capturing the affair!
All in all, what a Friday Night! :-)Leelah-a
